📋 What Is the FASTag Annual Pass?
The FASTag Annual Pass is a prepaid annual toll subscription offered under NHAI's National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) system. After purchasing the pass, toll deductions on select NHAI national highways are covered for one full year from the date of activation — regardless of how many times you cross those tolls.
It was introduced to reduce toll transaction friction for frequent highway users and is available for private cars and non-commercial LMVs. Commercial vehicles (trucks, buses) are not eligible for the Annual Pass.
✅ Is the FASTag Annual Pass Worth It?
✅ Worth It If You:
- Cross NHAI toll plazas more than 8–10 times per month
- Pay more than ₹260/month in regular tolls
- Commute daily on NH highways (Delhi-Meerut, Mumbai-Pune, Bengaluru-Mysore corridors)
- Travel inter-city frequently by road
- Drive on the same highway regularly
❌ May Not Be Worth It If You:
- Use highway tolls rarely (less than 4–5 times per month)
- Pay under ₹200/month in tolls currently
- Drive mostly on state roads or within city limits
- Own a commercial vehicle (trucks are ineligible)
Break-even calculation: ₹3,075 ÷ 12 months = ₹256/month. If your current monthly toll bill exceeds ₹256, the Annual Pass saves you money from month one.
📱 How to Buy FASTag Annual Pass — Step by Step
- Download the Rajmarg Yatra App
Search "Rajmarg Yatra" on Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS) and install the official NHAI app.
- Register with Your Vehicle Details
Open the app, enter your vehicle registration number and mobile number. Your FASTag details will be fetched automatically from the NHAI system.
- Select "Annual Pass"
On the dashboard, find the Annual Pass / Subscription option. Select your vehicle and confirm the ₹3,075 amount for 1 year of unlimited NHAI toll crossings.
- Pay via UPI or Net Banking
Complete payment via UPI (PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm), net banking, or debit card. The pass activates immediately upon successful payment.
- Confirmation and Activation
You will receive an SMS confirmation on your registered mobile. The pass is linked to your FASTag wallet. Toll deductions on covered NHAI plazas will show as ₹0 in your transaction history for the next 12 months.
⚠️ Important Terms and Conditions
- The Annual Pass covers select NHAI national highway toll plazas only — not all highways. Check the Rajmarg Yatra app for the list of covered plazas.
- Valid for private non-commercial four-wheelers (cars, SUVs, jeeps). Not available for trucks, buses, or other commercial vehicles.
- The pass is non-transferable — it is linked to your vehicle's FASTag and cannot be moved to another vehicle.
- The pass does not eliminate the need for FASTag balance — your FASTag wallet must remain active for the pass to function.
- If your FASTag is blacklisted or hotlisted, the Annual Pass will not work. Fix your FASTag status first.
- No refund for unused portion of the Annual Pass after activation.
